In Business, Compition Is Superior to Cooperation

Business is one of the most important components of a nation’s economy. Well established business provides many stable job opportunities. Companies compete against each other to dominate the market. Because gaining the highest yearly profit is one of the company’s goals, eliminating and destroying another competitive business is beneficial.  In the computer market, there are Apple and Microsoft companies. Each one of them is a well established business. Because of the competition between them the market gets two different computer operating software programs yearly. Without this desire of superiority in the market, we would not gain this advantage of getting multiple products for the same purpose. Consumers would not be able to choose from a lot of varieties.On the other hand, in case of small business, the difficulty to compete against the big companies is undeniable. Small business has a small budget and fewer resources. In this situation, cooperation between small business owners is the best option. They will have the advantage to survive in the market. They will also be able to keep providing the required standard of product with a reasonable price.Surviving in the business world is not easy. Companies should have a good plan to continue growing. The owners have to be smart to choose when to compete and when to cooperate

Progress Often Complicates as much as it Simplifies

 Progress often complicated as much as it simplifies.A civilization is based on progress. Progress is important because progress makes our lives better although progress seems complicated sometimes. One example for this is the individual spends long time to learn how to use a computer. Computer classes and materials, CDs and videos are offered everywhere. Not knowing how to operate a computer means that the individuals are not able to manage their daily lives at the expected level as the others who know how to use the computer. Elderly people and the older generation do not have the skill and the capability to learn this machine; instead it makes their lives difficult and complicated. 

On the other hand, computers are very beneficial. Subways, banks, cell phones, businesses and flights are operated and managed by computers. One reason for this is to make peoples’ jobs easier and faster. Although engineers spend much time establishing a network for one company or business, managers and employees are able to achieve more using the network. It allows them to communicate better which provides the owner of the company with cooperative team work. A team which communicates well is able to achieve more profits. 

In conclusion, computers seem to be very complicated devices. Some people have not been able to learn how to use them until now. On the other hand, some individuals know that it is easy to use computers once you learn how to operate them.        

Oppertunity Favores Those Who Work Hard

In everyday life, there are people who establish their goals. To accomplish them, they have to work hard. They make great efforts and face tremendous hardships to be successful. Individual searches for an opportunity, there are others who are given the right position where his or her efforts are appreciated.

Although the way that the world used to look at women has been changing, discrimination based on gender is still an issue in most Middle Eastern countries. The culture and tradition favor the man who is raised to ignore the value of the woman’s role in the society and to be chosen over her. In this situation, the woman is ignored even if she has better qualifications. These countries do not prioritize finding the right person for the right position as long as the selection that has been made obeys the traditional rules. In addition to gender based discrimination there is a discrimination based on religion. In some countries where Christianity is not the main religion, opportunity is available for most citizens except Christians despite their hard work. The government considers this as a trial to convince Christians to change their faith. Most of the business owners and managers do not promote the hard working Christian even though this action creates an unfair work environment.

Today most people are aware of getting a higher education. One reason for this is to qualify them for better positions and higher salaries. Obviously, they are granted a higher standard of living and financial stability. Another example of a hard working person is Ciline Dion. She is one of the most successful singers because she spends hours preparing for her concerts. Undoubtedly, she has a team which helps her, but she is able to prove that she is a unique singer. After her manager and future husband mortgaged his home to finance her first record, she gained recognition in most parts of the world. In conclusion, there is no doubt that a hard working person is favored by opportunity

Although individuals do not all use computers for the same purpose, people can not deny how useful they are. During the last twenty years, internet has invaded most houses and offices in the USA, because it offers direct access to a lot of information. In the same family, a father spends long time online reading about politics, economics, business and sports. He can also use the computer as a source of enjoyment such as gambling or chatting. In addition to this, parents are able to continue working even if they are at home. Being dependent on computers most of the day increases the gap in communication between family members. The mother does not have enough time to have an in depth conversation with her teenager daughter and the father does not have time to play outdoor sports with his son. When the time comes for the whole family to face a crisis, they feel like as if it is the first time for them to communicate with each other.In the case of war, soldiers are far away from home and family. They are separated from their families when they answer their call to duty. If a soldier leaves his pregnant wife for a year, he will be able to see his son, who is growing up away from his father, in pictures, videos and e-mails. In addition, he would be able to talk to his family whenever the time allows. In this situation, computers decrease the gap between family members by keeping them in touch regardless of the distance between them.In conclusion, computers might indirectly cause separation between individuals. However, family individuals have to stay joined together without being separated by microchip baskets are called computers. Parents should be able to organize their daily schedules so the family will be more important than the internet.

Preliminary Research Report

Being a physical therapist for seven years makes me exposed to a lot of moments which are based on therapist-patient relationship. Some patients are afraid of being at a therapy place and seeing a physical therapist who wears a white coat; others are worried about their therapy results; and others are frustrated from coming twice a week for treatment without seeing too many changes in their symptoms. In addition, some of them are angry of being in pain, afraid of not getting better and anxious to get better. As a therapist, I face a lot of difficult situations which do not require my medical background to solve, but rather they need wisdom and understanding in order to make the patients feel better physically and emotionally. Writing a “Discourse” about these moments which happen when the patients have some concerns about their treatments and health is interesting. Using the discourse method to describe these situations of being worried, frustrated, and confused will clarify some aspects and help to solve some therapist-patient relationship problems.

Searching for sources is the main process for this “Discourse” because this how the research materials were collected. The book for Reneau Peurifoy, Anxiety, Phobia and Panic, is chosen as a primary text because it defines these feelings and introduces some suggestions for solving them. The clinical explanation of some of these patients’ emotional moments was done by Green, MD and Clark, MD and is also included in this assignment. One reason for this is to give us a better understanding of human behavior. Patients act this way at medical offices because of being stressed out by their pain and fears. Ten Simple Solutions to Stress by Dr. Michaels mentions some moments of stressful situations and introduces some solutions to help the people to overcome these situations. A novel by the bestselling author of panic, Jeff Abbott, is included in this discourse because he provides good descriptions of fears and anxiety moments. All of these sources are providing very interesting information to write the required discourse.
